Woodland Park - "City Above the Clouds"
Woodland Park sits immediately adjacent to Pikes Peak in the Colorado Rockies. It is perched at the summit of Ute Pass, just 18 miles from the city of Colorado Springs. Once a mere tourist attraction, this quiet village town has become a mountain haven to over 7,000 residents. Woodland Park is closely accessible to Colorado's front range employment centers. It is an easy 30 minute commute to downtown Colorado Springs, even closer to the Springs Historic west business district, and just a few minutes more to Fort Carson. The Denver area is about an hour drive further up I-25. If your idea of a perfect place to live includes skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and lots of peace and quiet, then you might want to consider Woodland Park as well as one of the other nearby towns such as Divide and Florissant. Other nearby mountain subdivisions, such as Highland Lakes, Spring Valley, Trout Haven, and Colorado Mountain Estates offer both seclusion and easy access to all of the mountain activities. Just use the menu above to start your visual tour of Woodland Park and the surrounding area. |
